Abstract
Due to the constantly improving availability of (open) geodata, increasingly complex analyses are possible for many users and new application domains. At the same time, there is also a growing potential for web GIS applications making use of such data. To illustrate this, the article provides a complex analysis example. Therefore, a multi-criteria analysis that is part of a decision support system for public services planning is discussed. It is shown, how complex geoanalysis, which previously had to be created and carried out by GIS experts, can increasingly be modified and used by thematic and spatial planners. Therefore, some specific analytical aspects in public services planning are discussed. With the implemented web application planners can independently control analyses to evaluate the public service situation.
