Abstract

The efficiency of agricultural vehicles in terms of soil compaction can be assessed on the Dresdner tire test stand and deliver trend of yield influence and traction and rolling resistance and fuel consumption in detail. With the measurement of tire deformation, vibration and damping and the driving behavior is determined. The review of measurements and modeling of soil compaction and energy efficiency of tires and rubber track showed a high correlation with field measurements on machines. The high accuracy of the results can be used for high quality advice to farmers and dealers as well as for the development of new tires and agricultural machinery.
