Abstract
Theories of radical democracy are criticized for being normatively unfounded due to their epistemic basis. However, as can be shown by a comparison with the core of Critical Theory, its potential lies in a reevaluation of experiences of alienation as strategies of subjectivation and not in their mere condemnation.
