Abstract
While there are national registers for the large dams, it is difficult to get an overview of the medium and small facilities in Germany. The dam inventory presented is intended to try to gradually close this gap and also to record medium and small dams, retention basins, weirs, pumped storage and sedimentation basins in a central register with the most important technical specifications.
