Abstract
This article presents the eHighway field trial in Schleswig-Holstein (FeSH) with its key characteristics and provides insights into the accompanying scientific research. The focus is on technical investigations into the overhead contact line system and its interfaces such as wear behaviour, ageing behaviour of the insulators, overhead contact line dynamics and system availability.
