Abstract
Current developments in the construction sector are devoted to carbon concrete, which as a new building material is intended to supplement the existing reinforced concrete in order to conserve resources in particular. So far, extensive basic material and production technology investigations have been carried out in order to gain know-how on material design and manufacturing processes. Current work is aimed at achieving the quality-compliant process reliability of the manufacturing processes as a prerequisite for exploiting the advantages of the new building materials and their economical production. In order to gain the necessary understanding of the process interrelationships, extensive and complex investigations are necessary due to the manifold influences on the properties of the products. This article presents a new, holistic approach for the construction industry, which initially enables more efficient process development and can ultimately serve as the basis for quality assurance in industrial series processes. Since production is based on machine processes, the approach integrates data-driven methods in order to be able to use the data from machine control and quality assurance. The data-driven methods are illustrated using the process for the manufacturing of textile reinforcements for concrete applications.
