Comprehensive Simulation of Semiconductor Production: “LogiFabSim”—Integrating Dynamic Transport Times in Production Planning

Research output: Contribution to journalConference articleContributedpeer-review

Abstract

This paper presents a methodology for incorporating dynamic transport times into semiconductor production planning. This enables more accurate production process modeling by accounting for dynamic system effects, thereby improving prediction precision. The paper introduces a dynamic correction factor to propose a combined production- and logistics-simulation model that produces realistic results while maintaining the computational efficiency of pure production simulation models. We call our model “LogiFabSim”—holistic Logistics and Fab Simulation.
