Abstract
According to Resolution 235 on the WRC-2015 sharing studies shall be conducted between Programme Making and Special Events (PMSE) and International Mobile Telecommunications (IMT) radio systems, to protect PMSE systems against harmful interference from IMT systems. In this work we aim at operating these two systems on a shared frequency, not only at a same time but also in a same space such as an IMT sector cell. Channel quality of both systems is evaluated with an analytical model, which is developed strictly in accordance with ITU-R Recommendations and Reports for frequency sharing studies. From our evaluation results, we find a way to render spectrum sharing between IMT and PMSE systems possible.
