Abstract

This article refines and expands the debate on antecedents of company engagement in business partnerships for sustainability. It extends Stadtler and Lin?s (2017) proposed Awareness-Motivation-Capability framework by means of an analysis of an in-depth qualitative study. It refines the debate by providing a more nuanced account of the underlying elements constituting the main categories to advance a more holistic understanding of the underlying factors influencing company participation in business partnerships for sustainability.
