Abstract

The purpose of this article is to describe the method used to determine the amount of 148Gd produced in the (a,?) activation of enriched 144Sm samples. Advanced simulations are fitted to data to help constrain systematic uncertainties. The simulations are complimented with RBS measurements of the samples.
