Abstract

Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) represents the current gold standard for imaging of the cranial nerves and the brain stem. High-resolution CT is of great value with regard to the evaluation of the temporal bone. This review summarizes recent developments in the imaging of the cranial nerves, the brain stem, and the temporal bone and focuses on MRI.
