The final report of the FREDI project presents the development of an automated and compliant release process for research data in engineering collaborative projects. The process framework systematically incorporates protection and confidentiality agreements to ensure data security. A methodological concept was devised, detailing the sequential steps of the release process, including the creation of release models and multi-level approval mechanisms. This concept was implemented as a prototype within the Kadi4Mat research data infrastructure, featuring a modular plugin that automates and increases the transparency of the release workflow for researchers. The project aims to enhance both the efficiency and security of research data releases, providing a scalable solution for future data management in research collaborations.
