Abstract
Conventional power converters with lumped elements are widely used today. Distributed converter circuits have been known for a number of years, but are hardly used outside of radio frequency applications. These alternative converters may have qualitatively different properties. We model a distributed boost converter and compare its operation with a conventional boost converter.
