The Center for Molecular and Cellular Bioengineering was founded in 2026 as an umbrella organization of the three institutes B CUBE, BIOTEC and CRTD. Under this umbrella, the scientifically independent institutes cooperate primarily with regard to strategic further development in the university, teaching, administration and the provision of scientific infrastructure and services, and utilize existing synergies. The focus in on goal-oriented structural decisions such as appointments, the introduction of study programs and the acquisition of major projects.
