Description
Water (R718) is a very challenging refrigerant in regards to the required volume flows and pressure ratios for chiller temperature ranges (6/12°C). A recent study showed that conical spindle screw compressors are able combine high volume flows and high pressure ratios in one machine. This investigation is about the thermodynamic chamber model of the compressor and focusses on the internal leakage losses and the multi liquid injection. It reveals the influence of the injection mass flow on the quality of the results and the impact of the injection on the internal leakage losses.Conference
