Description

Linking New Materialist thinking and aesthetics (Deer a.o.) to a critical spacial ethics found in a Deleuzian, and Spinozist processual thinking this paper examines how eco-political artworks render sensuous the complex webs of agential forces in forest ecologies. The aesthetic approaches discussed claim a continuous dialogue of how to bring into contact an immanent ethics of relational thinking with “expressive experiments” that deal with and acknowledge the “incommunicable” (Shaviro 2015, 30), and complex realities of multispecies compositions under threat.
