Description
Schülerforschungsarbeit. Abstract: An open question in modern physics is that of dark matter. One experiment that aims to solve this puzzle is the DELight experiment. The geometry of the detector has a major influence on the efficiency and thus the success of the experiment. In this thesis, the central question will be how the geometry affects the efficiency and which would probably represent the optimal shape. For this purpose, the terms "phonons", "dark matter" and "conventional dark matter", which are relevant for understanding, are first explained. The mission of the experiment as well as its structure and then the underlying question of the effect of geometry have been clarified.Hosted visitor
