Abstract

In a world, where we purchase goods and products through the internet, the service of CEP-companies become much more essentioal. However, the delivery process can be often difficult and costly in the "Last Mile". Additionally, the volume of deliveries increases up to three billion parcels each year in germany. That gets CEP-Companies under pressure and challenges occur.\nTherfore, CEPs search for Innovations, which solve these problems. The main purpose of this work is to find out, whether CEP-Innovations will substitute the conventional delivery service. Also, it is questionalble, if customes will benefit by new CEP-Innovations.\nThis paper provides an overwiev of the CEP-market in Germany as wella as analyzes the structure of costs in the "Last Mile". All knowledge had been udes in the scenarios. The results showed that the CEP-Innovations do not substitute the conventional delivery service. More likely, it completes the CEP-service.
