Abstract

This chapter brings multidisciplinary perspectives on fundamental concepts of sovereignty, trustworthiness, and trust in technology, as well as sustainability together. A particular focus will be on individual sovereignty and its expressions, as well as its relationship to concepts of autonomy in legal studies, psychology, political philosophy, and communication science.
