Abstract

The continuously increasing competition in aerospace industry requires the implementation of innovative, economical light-weight systems. Especially in multi-materials design, the application of new joining technologies suitable for composites allows the significant reduction of structural weight, and at the same time provides advantages with respect to production and maintenance costs. A novel multi-materials design hydraulic actuator exemplifies the implementation of composite and load adapted joining methods.
