The article presents a new technology for the use of near-surface geothermal energy. Using the example of a realized pilot plant, the system “Agrothermie” is described with regard to construction, operation and future potential. Based on currently available construction technology, the requirements for a construction technology for surface development as well as the required new, modular installation technology with the corresponding functional assemblies are described.
