Many companies are faced with the question of how to deal with themes such as Lean Management and Industry 4.0. To satisfy the market‘s rapidly changing conditions and requirements it has to be examined if the use of constantly cheaper and more powerful automation solutions and manufacturing technologies is economically reasonable. Successful companies will be able to implement an economically feasible concept which comprises the areas organization, automation, and manufacturing technology. This can only be achieved if lean principles, human-adapted automated systems, and new manufacturing technologies are closely interlinked.
