Abstract
We show that the presence of coherently scattered waveguide modes significantly perturbs phases and amplitudes of the light transmitted through the polariton branches in strongly coupled organic systems. This causes complex Fano-type interference phenomena. Under certain experimental conditions, the coherent interplay between these modes significantly enhances the optical density of modes and allows the visualization of the upper polariton branches, which are usually difficult to detect.
