Pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) is a progressive disease associated with a poor prognosis despite the introduction of targeted therapies. For evaluation of severity and prognosis as well as treatment monitoring of PAH various biomarkers have been proposed. This article gives a short overview on the current state of research regarding different blood-biomarkers recently evaluated in PAH-patients.
