The title of the project autartec is derived from autarkic. An autarkic system is independent of external influences and supplies itself. If a structure is to be built in an autarkic way, this means that the usable floor space is cut back by required building services which must be integrated. There is potential for optimization enabling us to pursue the idea of autarky in building construction.
