Abstract
The process of developing a tyre for motor vehicles is a very complex procedure. By using measurement electronics from an early stage, requirements can be precisely specified and objectified and interactions identified. In this context, the acquisition of measured values directly in the design of the tire proves to be particularly advantageous. With the help of the knowledge gained, it is possible to reduce the number of test specimens and thus effectively shorten the development time. A series use of this technology is also possible. This allows driving assistance and driving dynamics control systems to be improved and vehicle safety to be increased.
