Abstract

AI-CDSS can only improve the often incorrect or delayed diagnosis of rare diseases if used as intended in the diagnostic process by physicians who do not specialize in rare diseases. Acceptance of the AI-CDSS is an essential prerequisite for its intended use. In the Leuko-Expert project, the factors influencing the physician acceptance of AI-CDSS were investigated in the case of rare disease Leukodystrophy. The article analyzes how the identified influencing factors can be transferred to other rare diseases. Therefore, the first step is to describe the methodological approach in the Leuko-Expert project. On this basis, how the results can be transferred to other rare diseases will be discussed. As a result, the influencing factors identified are transferable to other rare diseases. However, the medical data required for correct diagnosis should be analyzed separately for each rare disease. In addition, the weighting of influencing factors' relevance can be helpful.
