Abstract
Artificial petal structures are created by controlled wrinkling of thin membranes on soft materials. In addition to the fabrication of such bioinspired structures, precise textural transfer into different polymeric materials is reported. Two different methodologies are described: micro thermoforming using thermoplastic PMMA and molding with epoxy resin. Micro thermoforming provides a negative replica of the wrinkled PDMS whereas molding results in positive duplicates.
