Abstract
Novel thyristor-based semiconductor devices for improving inverter safety are tested experimentally, optimized to ensure a controlled short-circuit mechanism and evaluated by their performance. This includes surge current testing with a unique state-of-the-art surge current source and high-tech material analysis.
