Comprehensive Multi-Stage Filter Design of an Active Three-Phase Two-Level Rectifier for Aircraft Application

Abstract

The variable frequency power supply and associated regulations of modern aircraft pose a challenge to the design of passive filters for rectifier topologies. Focusing on power density a straight-forward design method, omitting complex optimization algorithms, is presented to derive a passive multi-stage filter design for bidirectional three-phase two-level rectifier system.
