Research is being conducted in Germany to use carbon reinforcement as an alternative to steel reinforcement in a project awarded by the president of Federal Republic of Germany. The federal government believes that carbon reinforcement can emerge as an alternative to steel reinforcement in future projects. Carbon concrete is to be used for the refurbishment and strengthening of existing and new structures in the country.
