Abstract

An electronic component (100) is described in various embodiments. The electronic component (100) can have a substrate (102), and the substrate (102) can have at least two electrodes (104, 106), the at least two electrodes (104, 106) each being arranged at a distance from one another on and/or in the substrate (102). If the electronic component (100) is in a first operational state, an electrolyte material (108) can be arranged at least in a spatial region between the at least two electrodes (104, 106), the electrolyte material (108) comprising at least one polymerisable material. If the electronic component (100) is in a second operational state, at least one electrical connection (110) can be produced between the at least two electrodes (104, 106), the at least one electrical connection (110) consisting of an electrically conductive polymer. The electrically conductive polymer can have one or more fibre structures, the one or more fibre structures being in physical contact with the at least two electrodes (104, 106).
